Call for Papers, 2024<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Annual Review of Territorial Governance in the Western Balkans, <\/strong>5th \u00a0<\/sup>Issue<\/span><\/b><\/h3>\n

New Submissions<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Annual Review of Territorial Governance in the Western Balkans is published by Co-PLAN and POLIS University on a yearly basis, in print and online versions (https:\/\/www.co-plan.org\/en\/tgreview\/). The published articles are select policy briefs and\/or scientific papers on matters related to territorial governance, sketching the present situation, the Europeanisation process, the policy and the research and development agenda for the near future. The publication targets policy-makers, policy-influencing actors and policy scientists, researchers and academics and focuses on issues such as spatial planning, environment, climate change and resilience, energy, transport, cultural heritage, municipal finances, regional development, governance, disasters risk, tourism etc. The articles may propose observations, analyses and authentic solutions to policy problems, bring in international best practices that are sound and\/or relevant for implementation in the context of the Balkan countries, or discuss the effect and relevance of EU policies in the Western Balkans and in the Europeanisation process. We encourage authors to submit articles that have a comparative approach\/value in addressing aspects of territorial governance in two or more Western Balkan countries or EU, regions in different countries, two or more themes, or discuss issues that are relevant to all countries even though based on specific case studies.<\/p>\n

Overarching Theme <\/strong><\/p>\n

The Editorial Theme of 2024 builds around \u201cCross-Border Cooperation in the Western Balkan\u201d. Articles can have a focus on the cross-border cooperation programs, projects, issues and policies in different sectors such as energy, agriculture, environment, transport, local public finances, etc., aspects of climate change mitigation and adaptation, nature-based solutions, green transition and energy, linkages between environmental and spatial planning practices, etc. Articles that have a comparative approach on one or more countries are particularly welcomed in this year\u2019s edition. Additionally, articles that focus on cross-border visioning, strategic planning, service provision are welcomed. Besides articles that focus on the WB region, those presenting case studies and best practices from the EU that can be of interest and serve as lesson learning for the WB region are highly welcomed.<\/p>\n

Submission Guidelines <\/strong><\/p>\n

Authors are invited to send abstracts of a maximum of 300 words, a short bibliography, name(s) and author(s) affiliation\/s, and the specification of the corresponding author to ledio_allkja@co-plan.org<\/strong>, kejt_dhrami@co-plan<\/strong>.org and co-plan@co-plan.org<\/strong>, until the 30th <\/sup><\/span>of April 2024.<\/p>\n
