This discussion focused on the importance of the <strong>Integrated Waste Management law<\/strong> and its implications for environmental sustainability in the country.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Among the main points of discussion were:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">The need for the development of a broad-based public consultation, seeing the strategic importance that this law has for the country and society;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Involvement of interest groups in the revision of the law and by-laws to ensure inclusiveness;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Taking into consideration the technical and financial capacities of Local Self-Government Units to implement the law and respect the established objectives;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Drafting of measures, criteria and programs for the prevention and recovery of waste;<\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\">Defining a unified methodology for
