Many Balkan cities today witness the positive impact of the local self-organization networks when it comes to cultural, economical, social and spatial revitalization of the neglected (and sometimes vacant) inner-city urban neighborhoods.
The geographical scope of intervention included 7 countries and 7 heritage sites: The Archaeological Park of Apollonia, Albania; The National Library/City Hall, Bosnia and Herzegovina; Roman City of Sisicia, Croatia; Archaeological Site of Heraclea Lyncestis, FYR of Macedonia; Gazi Mehmed pasha Hamam, Kosovo; Fortress Besac, Montenegro and Iustiniana Prima/Caricin Grad, Serbia.
The aim of the program is for Co-PLAN by 2013 to be envisioned as a successful and respected policy research institute in its field of work, contributing to the Albanian society through strengthening policy making and contributing to the higher education in Albania.
